Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January 1986) is an English catwalk model and lingerie model, and television model and TV. She was the runner up in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2). In 2006 she also was the winner of series 11 on Strictly Come Dancing. Since 2015, she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy is the second of four children of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy and Geoff Thomas Clancy, was born in Liverpool. She was raised in Woolton near Liverpool and attended St Mary's Primary school and St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy formed girl band Genie Queen, who were managed by Andy McCluskey from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). Clancy was one of the 13 finalists in Living TV's Britain’s Next Top Model, which saw her compete over 10 weeks for an opportunity to model. Clancy was paired with Lianna Fowler for the final runway show, and was the winner. Clancy was the first model to appear on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was a model in Arena magazine in the month of May 2007. He was featured on the cover with the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike. Clancy was also featured in Sports Illustrated magazine's 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was chosen due to her connection with Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed wearing body paint for the magazine to make it appear like she was wearing the England shirt. Yu Tsai shot the photographs. Clancy was featured as a model in Umbro sportswear's 2010 campaign. Clancy walked in Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011 line. In March 2011, Clancy was featured on Elite Model Management: New York division's website. She was a part of London designer Hasan Hejazi’s campaign for July 2013. The editorial was by Absynth Photographyic. The fashion film was by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy also modeled in the August issue of UK Esquire cover shot by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy together with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was featured in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. In July 2014, Clancy appeared on the cover of British Marie Claire and in March 2015, British Elle. Abbey Clancy, along with her daughter Sophia Crouch, collaborated in October 2019 with Lipsy the London-based fashion company, to introduce their AW'19 collection. The AW19 collection began to be launched in the UAE in January 2020.
